Do you buy scrap from individuals?
Yes, at our yard, with an identity document as required by law. Payment is made by bank transfer.
Can you collect from my site?
Yes, for loads from 1 tonne. We bring containers and weigh on certified scales.
What can't you accept?
Closed containers under pressure, items with hazardous residues, and anything that could be stolen infrastructure such as cables, manhole covers or rail parts without documents.
Do you provide market research?
Yes, price trends and supply studies for metals and related goods.

We buy ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from businesses, demolition sites and individuals, sort and prepare it, and deliver it to mills and foundries. Recycling one tonne of steel saves raw ore and energy.

MELVILL TOV ("Melvill", "we") trades metals and ores, scrap and waste, hardware, plumbing and heating equipment, textiles and household goods; acts as an intermediary in commodity deals; and provides consulting and market research. This policy explains how we handle personal data under the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" and the GDPR.

2. Scrap sellers
Ukrainian law requires us to record the identity of people who sell us scrap: name, identity document details, the material, weight and payment details. These records may be checked by authorities and are kept for the period required by law.
3. Business customers
Contacts, contracts, invoices, delivery addresses and certificates.
4. Commodity deals
Where we act as an intermediary, we carry out the identification and checks required by financial monitoring legislation.
5. Research participants
Survey participation is voluntary; results are published only in aggregate.
6. Purposes and grounds
Legal obligations (scrap trade rules, financial monitoring, tax), performance of contracts, legitimate interests (yard security), consent (research).
7. Video surveillance
Our scrap yard uses video surveillance and weighbridge cameras, marked with signs. Recordings are kept for up to 30 days unless needed for an investigation.
8. Recipients
Banks, carriers, mills, authorities where required. We do not sell personal data.
9. Your rights
You may access, correct and delete your data (subject to legal retention), restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy and withdraw consent. We reply within 30 days. Complaints may be addressed to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or an EU supervisory authority.
